RADICAL CHRISTIANS?

It makes the news every time and News Agencies make big money as people rush to catch the latest updates from around the world. There are probably three main ones at the moment and they are Global Terrorist Activities, Global Economy, and Global Climate Change. But Global Terrorist Activities sort of top the list at the moment with this ISIL group, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, Al Nashura, and etc… and the list goes on… It is just unbelievable how someone could be so captured, so radicalized, by what he believes is right, and God-Ordained, that he is willing to blow himself/herself up amongst his/her designated so-called infidels… I had a conversation with a missionary friend and asked him whether a Christian could be radicalized the same way… he said “yes, but not like that”…
The Lord said in Acts 1:8 “you SHALL receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, then you SHALL be my witness…” The enablement that comes to a Christian when he/she receives the Holy Spirit makes him radical for the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. A Christian should be a radical witness for the Gospel, of course with this element of “Wise as a serpent, humble as a dove” amongst those targeted. This means that whenever there is an opportunity to share, we don’t mince our words, we give it our best shot so we can blow many minds away with the Gospel of Jesus.
I do go to Facebook every now and then at it is amazing to see the amount of Bible Verses and commentaries posted by Christians. It would be wonderful if all these are shared face-to-face with non-Christians. If we are to be radical than we need not just one approach but grab every opportunity. We are to be radical in words and in acts of kindness. Paul said “for I am not ashamed of the Gospel…” that’s being radical. Jesus said “he who wants to follow me must carry his cross and follow me…” that’s being radical. We are to be radical because there is a destiny and each person has limited time to decide.
